competing

Competition is a great way to measure your ability against the circumstances of the show. My philosophy is competing with the same integrity you have trained with at home and testing it under pressured circumstances. The more consistent and measurable your system, the better probability of getting a desirable result at a show, keeping performance anxiety under control. I always said, “If you didn’t bring it to the show, you won’t find it there.” I’m always strengthening my skills as a horseman in all disciplines and love to share the excitement of showing with friends and students as a competitor and a coach.

I believe the equestrian world is an art of peace, rhythm, and communication, no matter what discipline, success is measured through horse and rider understanding.
